FAQ
1. How long does shipping take?
Processing: 1-3 business days. Shipping: 5-10 business days (contiguous US). You'll receive tracking via email.
2. What are shipping costs?
Calculated at checkout based on weight/destination. Free standard shipping on orders over $[amount].
3. Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
Currently, only to the contiguous 48 states.
4. What types of mirror lights do you offer?
We offer mirror lights (lighting fixtures designed for installation on or around mirrors). Our mirror lights are UL 1598 certified (Standard for Luminaires) for permanently installed fixtures wired to line voltage. These fixtures are designed for use in non-hazardous locations and intended for installation on branch circuits of 600 V nominal or less in accordance with the U.S. National Electrical Code (NEC). The UL 1598 standard ensures fixtures can withstand electrical, thermal, and mechanical stress during normal use.
5. What types of light bulbs do you offer?
We offer LED light bulbs for general use. All our bulbs comply with FTC Energy Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 305) , requiring a Lighting Facts label on packaging that discloses brightness (lumens), estimated annual energy cost, lifespan, light appearance (color temperature), and energy used (watts). LED bulbs also comply with applicable Department of Energy (DOE) energy efficiency standards for general service lamps (GSLs). Energy Star certification is available for qualifying models (voluntary). Some bulbs may also comply with California Title 20 efficiency requirements if sold in California.
6. What types of installation brackets do you offer?
We offer brackets for mounting lighting fixtures and other items. For brackets used to mount audio/video equipment, IT equipment, or similar products to building structures, we comply with UL 2442 (Standard for Wall- and Ceiling-Mounts and Accessories), which covers construction, performance, and load-bearing requirements. For general-purpose brackets not covered by UL 2442, we comply with General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) requirements under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA, 16 CFR Part 1500) certifying no mechanical hazards (sharp edges/points) and compliance with structural integrity standards.
7. Are your products safety certified?
Yes. All our products comply with applicable U.S. safety standards:
| Product | Applicable Standards |
|---|---|
| Mirror Lights (Fixed) | UL 1598 (Luminaires), NEC compliance |
| Mirror Lights (Portable) | UL 153 (Portable Electric Luminaires) |
| Light Bulbs | FTC 16 CFR Part 305 (Lighting Facts), DOE energy standards, Energy Star (voluntary), California Title 20 (if applicable) |
| Installation Brackets | UL 2442 (AV/IT mounting), FHSA 16 CFR 1500 (general safety), GCC required |
8. What is UL 1598?
UL 1598 is the U.S. safety standard for luminaires (lighting fixtures) for use in non-hazardous locations. It defines construction, performance, and testing requirements for safety, including electrical insulation, temperature limits, thermal management, mechanical strength, and reliable mounting methods. Fixtures are rated for dry, damp, or wet locations.
9. What is UL 153?
UL 153 is the safety standard for portable electric luminaires (portable lamps). It governs design, construction, and testing of portable lamps intended for connection to a nominal 120-volt, 15- or 20-ampere branch circuit by means of an attachment plug.
10. What is the FTC Lighting Facts label requirement?
Under 16 CFR Part 305, manufacturers must affix a Lighting Facts label to packaging for most general service lamps (including LED, CFL, and incandescent bulbs with medium screw bases). The label must disclose brightness (lumens), estimated annual energy cost, lifespan (years), light appearance (correlated color temperature), and energy used (watts).
11. What are the California Title 20 requirements?
California's Appliance Efficiency Regulations (Title 20) set minimum energy efficiency standards for lamps and luminaires sold in California. General service lamps sold in California must meet or exceed 45 lumens per watt efficacy. All applicable products must be registered in the CEC's MAEDbS database. If you sell to California, ensure your bulbs comply with these requirements.
12. What is UL 2442?
UL 2442 is the safety standard for shelves, brackets, and similar devices that provide structural support for mounting audio/video equipment, IT equipment, and similar products to building structures (wall or ceiling). It covers load-bearing capacity, installation integrity, and environmental resilience.
13. What is the General Certificate of Conformity (GCC)?
For general-use products (not intended for children 12 and under) that are subject to CPSC safety rules, we provide a General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) certifying compliance with applicable CPSC safety rules, based on testing or a reasonable testing program. This applies to general-purpose brackets and mounting hardware.
14. What is the CPSC and what are my rights?
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) protects consumers from unreasonable risk of injury from consumer products. If you experience any safety issue with our products, please report it immediately to us and to the CPSC at www.SaferProducts.gov.
15. What is California Proposition 65?
California Proposition 65 requires warnings for products containing chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Lighting products may contain listed chemicals (e.g., lead in soldering, phthalates in plastic components). When applicable, a Proposition 65 warning will be displayed on product pages and packaging.
